WHAT IS THE PINHOLE SURGICAL TECHNIQUE (PSTTM) AND HOW IS IT PERFORMED?
Pinhole gum surgery is a noninvasive pinhole procedure for treating gum recession. To perform the technique, a certified pinhole clinician uses a needle to make a small hole in the patient’s existing gum tissue. Through this pinhole, the gum tissue is gently loosened by special instruments that help expand and slide the gumline to cover the exposed root structure. With no cutting, stitching, or grafts required, you can expect minimal swelling, pain, and bleeding after the gum treatment is complete.
