I love making these smoothies for my families regularly. I have been making my own smoothies for over 20 years. My personal recipe is healthy, pure and delicious and serves approximately 8 people.
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana-skinned and sliced (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup cherries (fresh or frozen)
- ½ cup peaches (fresh or frozen)
- ¼ cup mango (fresh or frozen)
- ½ cup strawberries or blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- ½ cup yogurt (I love the thicker, greek yogurt)
- 1-2 tbsp homemade vanilla or real vanilla
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (the real stuff) or 2 tbsp agave nectar or pure clover honey
- ½ cup milk—add more to taste
- ¼ cup chia seeds
NOTE: If adding fresh fruit instead of frozen, add ½ cup ice to make smoothie cold.
Directions:
Puree together all of the above ingredients. Add more milk if required. Serve cold with a wider straw. This is an absolutely delicious smoothie. You can mix and match different fruits and substitute juice like pomegranate juice for milk.
